Policies and Disclaimer
Clauses of Use
These agreements, which govern all claims made against the eUniversity of France (eUF) and its powered members, include an arbitration clause and a waiver of class action lawsuits. Because they affect your legal rights, please read them thoroughly. If the laws of the nation in which you live make the arbitration agreement and class action lawsuit waiver unenforceable, these agreements will not be applicable.

Our License Provided to You
We provide you with a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to use our Services, subject to these Terms and our policies (such as course-specific eligibility requirements and other terms). Unless you have our specific consent to do otherwise, you may only download anything from our Services for your own noncommercial use. Changes to the Content Available
eUniversity offers lessons and content from Université Libérale de Paris, partner universities, and other suppliers (collectively, "Content Offerings") ("Content Providers"). Even while we strive to offer top-notch content offerings from our content providers, unforeseen situations do occasionally happen. eUniversity maintains the right to alter any Content Offerings, including the point value or weight of any Assignment, Quiz, or other Assessment, either independently or in compliance with the requirements of the Content Provider. The sections below on disclaimers and limitations of liability apply to content offerings.
Academic Credit
Neither eUniversity nor content supplier recognizes the academic credit earned via our courses. However, Université Libérale de Paris and our partners do recognize it. Academic credit is not awarded by eUniversity for successfully completing Content Offerings. Participation in or completion of Content Offerings does not result in an award of academic credit unless so specifically stated by a credit-granting institution. There is no guarantee that other institutions will accept credit even if it is granted by any one institution. You consent to not claiming credit for finishing a Content Offering until you have obtained a course certificate or another form of proof that the Content Offering was successfully completed. eUniversity, Université Libérale de Paris, teachers, and the related Content Providers are not required to have their Content Offerings approved by any accrediting body or educational institution.
Disclaimer of Student-Content Provider Relationship
Nothing in these Terms or elsewhere with regard to your participation in any Content Offerings by Content Providers: (a) creates a relationship between you and any Content Provider; (b) enrolls or registers you in any Content Provider institution or in any Content Offering offered by any Content Provider institution; or (c) grants you access to any Content Provider institution's resources.
User Content
You can share your content (also known as "User Content") with eUniversity, instructors, and/or other users using the Services, including your projects, homework, quizzes, examinations, and other submitted assignments. You are in charge of and have all ownership rights to the User Content you produce and distribute. Course content and other materials made available on the eUniversity platform by or on behalf of Content Providers or their instructors via the Services or Content Offerings are not considered User Content. Such Content Offerings as between eUniversity and Content Providers are governed by the pertinent contracts in place between eUniversity and Content Providers.
How user content may be used by eUniversity and others
You grant eUniversity a fully transferable, royalty-free, perpetual, sublicensable, non-exclusive, worldwide license to copy, distribute, modify, prepare derivative works based upon, publicly perform, publicly display, and otherwise use the User Content to the extent that you supply such User Content. In accordance with the terms of this license, eUniversity is allowed to let Content Providers utilize User Content with registered students, students enrolled in on-campus programs, or other learners not utilizing the Services. Nothing in these Terms shall limit other legal rights that eUniversity may have, such as those arising from other licenses, with respect to User Content. For any reason, including when we believe it violates these Terms or other rules like our Acceptable Use Policy or Code of Conduct, we reserve the right to remove or alter any User Content.
Feedback
Regarding the Services, we appreciate your ideas, opinions, and other feedback ("Feedback"). By providing any Feedback, you give us permission to use it without restriction or payment to you. eUniversity, Université Libérale de Paris, or any partner universities do not give up the right to use similar or related Feedback that was already known to eUniversity, developed by our staff or contractors, or acquired from other sources, even after accepting your feedback.
Security
We are concerned about our users' safety. While eUniversity makes every effort to safeguard the security of your account and any associated data, we cannot guarantee that unauthorized parties won't be able to circumvent our security precautions. Please alert support@paris-u.fr as soon as you become aware of any possible compromise or unauthorized use of your account.
Third-Party Content
You will have access to and/or use content given by instructors, other users, and/or other third parties through the Services, as well as links to websites and services run by third parties. eUniversity makes no promises that any third-party information found on the Services or elsewhere will be free of offensive, inappropriate, or harmful content. This includes malware and other contaminants that could damage your computer, mobile device, or any files stored on it. Regarding your access to, use of, or inability to access or use such third-party content, eUniversity expressly disclaims any duty or obligation.
Trademarks and copyright
When using the Services, users are expected to respect the intellectual property rights of E-University, Content Providers, and other third parties. In line with the Copyright Act and other applicable laws, we have adopted and put into effect the eUniversity Copyright and Trademark Policy detailed below.
Research in education
eUniversity is dedicated to advancing the science of teaching and learning, and it may utilize data about your course participation for educational research. You can encounter many Content Offerings in the course of this investigation. Typically, research findings will be presented in aggregate form. Without your specific permission, no research findings will reveal your identity to the public.
Services for a Fee from eUniversity
For a fee, eUniversity provides paid Services (such as course certificates for specific courses). All fees are listed in Euros unless otherwise specified. You are accountable for promptly using a payment method connected to the relevant paid Services to pay any fees and applicable taxes assessed by or on behalf of eUniversity. If your payment method is declined or your account is past due, we may use various collection practices to recover fees. Your location and other circumstances may affect the fees, and eUniversity maintains the right to modify any fees at any time and at its sole discretion. Any modification, update, or change will take effect right away after being posted through the applicable Services. As outlined in our Refund Policy below, refunds may be possible for paid Services.
Programs for degrees and academic certificates
You might be able to use the Services to sign up for University Certificate, and Degree programs, as well as comparable ones, that are provided by our Content Providers on the eUniversity platform. These programs are offered online by our content suppliers, who also set the criteria for entry, refunds, and graduation or completion. Nothing in these Terms will prevent any institutional policies that our Content Provider establishes in connection with these programs from applying to you (such as student conduct codes of conduct); these policies will supplement these Terms, and to the extent there is a conflict between them and these Terms as between you and our Content Provider, our Content Provider's policies will take precedence.
Depending on the program, eUniversity or one of our Content Partners may be in charge of collecting the tuition and fee payments for these courses. We or our Content Partners reserve the right to use additional legal means to recover tuition and fees if your payment method is declined or your account is past due. Your location and other circumstances may affect the tuition and fees, and eUniversity and its Content Partners reserve the right, in their sole discretion, to alter any tuition and fees for upcoming semesters or equivalent payment periods. As outlined in our Refund Policy below, refunds may be possible for paid Services. You are urged to do your homework and think carefully about whether the tuition and other costs associated with the Content Offerings would support your career and financial objectives.
Each state, each nation, and each company may have different standards for various professions' professional licensure, certification, and work requirements. On the basis of your successful completion of a eUniversity Content Offering, eUniversity does not guarantee your licensing, certification, or qualification for any profession or position. You are recommended to look into whether the Content Offering you intend to enrol in satisfies your academic and/or professional needs before enrolling, as well as to research, comprehend, and abide by the laws in the applicable state and/or nation in which you work or intend to work.
Changing or discontinuing our services
Our services are continuously updated and improved. To the extent permitted by relevant law, we may change the requirements, add or remove features, and suspend (or completely terminate) some of our Services. As a result, eUniversity has the right to stop you from using any Service at any time. If you stop using a premium service, you might be eligible for a refund under our refund policy. Due to a variety of factors, such as applicable export control regulations or governmental limits on internet access, we might not be able to provide the Services in some regions or nations. You won't be held responsible for any such activity by any of eUniversity, its content providers, instructors, contributors, sponsors, and other business partners (collectively, the "eUniversity Parties"). Although we will be sorry to see you depart, you are free to cease utilizing our services whenever you like.
Export Regulations
You guarantee that neither your location nor your usual place of residence falls under any rules or restrictions that forbid eUniversity from granting you access to the Services under relevant France Law. Your physical location determines where you are. It is strictly forbidden to use a virtual private network service, IP routing services, or another such service to get around these restrictions. You represent that your name does not appear on any government sanctions, debarment, or exclusion lists (collectively, "Sanctions Lists"), export-control related restricted party lists, or lists of forbidden, denied or unverified parties. If you are added to any Sanctions List, you will immediately stop using the Services. You further guarantee that you won't export, re-export, transfer, or otherwise make use of the Services in a way that would contravene any relevant laws to any entity that is listed on a sanctions list. In spite of anything to the contrary in these Terms, if you violate the conditions in this section, E-University may immediately end all further responsibilities to you.
Indemnification
By using the Services or attempting to use them in violation of these Terms, violating any law or the rights of any third party, or using User Content, including without limitation any claim of infringement, you agree to indemnify, defend, and hold the Coursera Parties harmless from any and all claims, liabilities, expenses, and damages (to the extent that they are attributable to you under the applicable law).
Legal system and Location
eUniversity, Université Libérale de Paris, manages the Services, with the exception of the provisions made below. You acknowledge that the laws of France, excluding its rules on conflicts of law, shall govern these Terms. You and eUniversity agree to submit to the personal jurisdiction of and exclusive venue in the courts situated in and serving Zug, Switzerland, as the legal forum for any dispute relating to these Terms that is not subject to binding arbitration.
Any mandatory consumer safeguards under the law of the nation where we direct Services to you and where you have your usual residence shall not be affected by this clause.
Waiver of Class Actions and Binding Arbitration
You and Université Libérale de Paris, eUniversity agree to submit any and all disputes, claims, or controversies of any kind, whether grounded in statute, rule, constitution, common law, equity, or any other legal basis or theory, and whether pre-existing, present, or future, that arises out of or relates to our Services, these Terms, and/or any other relationship or dispute between you and us, such as without limitation I the scope, applicability, or otherwise of I the Services;
Any and all Claims must be brought to final and binding arbitration in line with the current version of the France Law, as amended. In the event of any conflict between this arbitration provision and the Rules, the arbitration provision shall prevail. If you opt to start the arbitration process, you agree to pay the $200 filing fee (or any other amount specified by the Rules), and we agree to pay the remaining filing fee and any further deposits needed to start the arbitration process. The costs of the arbitration hearing, including the arbitrator's fees, will be covered by us; however, other expenditures, like legal fees and travel costs to the arbitration, must be paid in accordance with the Rules and any relevant laws. Any costs related to the arbitration that we start will be covered by us. All Claims shall be resolved by a single, impartial arbitrator chosen in line with the Rules.
The arbitrator must be a retired judge or an active member in good standing of the bar in any France state who has been actively practicing law for at least five years. The arbitrator must uphold legal claims of privilege. Regardless of which side wins the arbitration, and unless otherwise specified above or inconsistent with relevant law, each party is responsible for paying its own attorney, expert, and witness expenses. You will have the chance to attend the hearing and be heard in any arbitration proceedings, which will be held in the federal judicial district where you currently reside. The arbitrator's ruling will be final, enforceable in any federal or state court with jurisdiction, and binding on the parties. You and I agree that the arbitration shall be kept private and that neither the existence of the arbitration nor any aspect of it (including, without limitation, any pleadings, briefs or other documents submitted or exchanged, any testimony or other oral submissions, and any awards) will be disclosed to any third party outside of the arbitration unless such disclosure is legitimately required in court proceedings involving the arbitration or by applicable disclosure rules and regulations.
In relation to any Claim, neither you nor eUniversity may represent a class of claimants or take part on behalf of a group of claimants. Arbitration of the Claims cannot be done on a class- or representative-based basis. Only your individual Claims and/or those of eUniversity can be decided by the arbitrator. The arbitrator is not permitted to combine or join the claims of other parties or individuals who may be in a comparable situation. As a result, you and I agree that our arbitration will not be governed by the Supplementary Rules for Class Arbitrations. Regardless of any applicable state law, this arbitration provision and the rules governing the arbitration it contemplates are governed by the laws of the France.
You or we may still file a complaint with a federal, state, or local government agency despite this arbitration agreement. As long as the case is still pending in small claims court and progresses only on an individual (non-class, non-representative) basis, you and we also have the ability to use self-help remedies like set-off or to file qualifying claims there. The right to seek provisional or ancillary relief, such as pre-arbitral attachments or preliminary injunctions, remains open to both you and us, and any such request won't be interpreted as violating any of the terms of this agreement or as a waiver of the right to have disagreements resolved through arbitration as specified in this clause.
Except for the restrictions against any Claim being handled on a class or representative basis, a court may sever any part of this binding arbitration and class action waiver section that it finds to be unenforceable, and the remaining parts of this arbitration provision will still be valid and enforceable. Any waiver of any term of this Section must be put in writing and signed by the party making the waiver in order to be valid. Any other provision of these Terms will not be waived or affected by such a waiver.
A COURT ACTION, A JURY TRIAL, THE RIGHT TO PARTICIPATE IN ANY FORM OF CLASS OR REPRESENTATIVE CLAIM, AND THE RIGHT TO ENGAGE IN DISCOVERY EXCEPT AS PROVIDED IN THE RULES ARE JUST A FEW OF THE RIGHTS LIMITED BY THIS BINDING ARBITRATION AND CLASS ACTION WAIVER SECTION. ADR MAY ALSO PREVENT YOU OR EUNIVERSITY FROM RECOVERING RIGHTS THAT YOU OR EUNIVERSITY WOULD HAVE IN COURT.
Changes to the Terms
We reserve the right to change the Terms at any moment, based solely on our discretion. Any changes to the Terms will take effect right away once we post them. We will use commercially reasonable efforts to notify you of any major changes to the Terms by means of a notice on the website, an email, another method, or a combination of methods. Your continued use of the Services following the posting of any modifications, whether or whether you get notice, indicates your legally binding acceptance of the updated Terms.
Suspension; Waiver
No other terms of these Terms will be affected if it turns out that a particular provision is not enforceable. If you violate these Terms and we don't take immediate action, it doesn't mean that we are waiving any of our rights (such as taking action in the future).
Content Creators
As third-party beneficiaries of the Terms, our Content Creators and Integrated Service Providers may enforce the sections of the Terms that apply to them.
The nature of the program from Université Libérale de Paris.
As an online university brand of Université Libérale de Paris, all programs and the awarding of degrees are conducted by Université Libérale de Paris and its partner universities. A clear understanding of the roles, rights, and responsibilities of Université Libérale de Paris and its partner universities is essential to ensure fairness and transparency. The parties involved are hereby obligated to comply with the relevant regulations and agreements governing the administration of academic programs and the issuance of degrees.
General Information
As an institution subject to French government regulations, independent accreditation systems, and relevant European Union regulations, The Université Libérale de Paris (hereinafter referred to as Paris-U) would like to make public the terms, regulations, policies, and liability disclaimers outlined in this and related sections.
During the Paris-U’s operation, French and European regulations, laws, and related guidelines may undergo changes. Consequently, Paris-U reserves the right to amend or supplement policies while still adhering to agreements signed with students, partners, government agencies, accreditation bodies, international accreditation agencies, and relevant entities.
We strongly advise students and other stakeholders to thoroughly review and understand these terms before engaging in studies, collaborations, or interactions with Paris-U. This ensures transparency of information, prevents misinterpretation or intentional misinterpretation, ensures an anti-transparent communication process, promotes fair competition, and unequivocally safeguards the rights of all parties involved.
In addition to ensuring information transparency, we are steadfast in our adherence to French and European Union regulations, including, but not limited to, those that prohibit misleading communication and unfair competition practices.
If you have any questions or come across activities that may harm students, other stakeholders, or Paris-U, please contact the university’s legal department in France at: legal@paris-u.fr.
All Paris-U students and partners are required to sign and/or read all the commitments and agreements. Typically, these documents include terms that are publicly available as well as detailed terms specific to each group. Please read these terms carefully and reach out to a Paris-U representative if you have any questions. The terms of the agreements will automatically apply upon the signing and/or confirmation by the parties, indicating their full understanding of the terms.
Who can study at Paris-U?
Students at Paris-U can be anyone with sufficient academic ability who can meet the entrance criteria for programs announced by the university.
As a liberal arts higher education provider, we thoroughly assist students in becoming registered students at Paris-U, regardless of diverse backgrounds that include ethnicity, place of origin, circumstances, or religious beliefs.
Students who register with Paris-U must adhere to the guidelines outlined in the student handbook, which includes the requirement to provide accurate information. If candidates and students violate the principle of honesty, Paris-U reserves the right to refuse admission, cancel student status, and nullify cumulative results. In this case, there will be no reimbursement for fees and related expenses. The infringer must compensate Paris-U and related parties for any necessary losses.
Programs and Qualifications
While international accreditation is not mandatory in France, Paris-U actively promotes it to ensure the professionalism of the training process and to facilitate continuous improvement. Accreditations will be regularly updated in multiple languages on the official Paris-U website.
Paris-U is a private higher education institution providing graduate students with a liberal arts education, study flexibility, and alignment with market needs. The programs, delivered in English, cater to global students and operate independently of French government regulations and frameworks. Awards from Paris-U are issued by the institution and are not affiliated with France’s Federal qualifications or the public higher education system in the country.
The Paris-U program aligns with the European competency framework and EU higher education guidelines. While there are official documents regarding the similarity of regional and national competency frameworks, the recognition and acceptance of qualifications in accordance with international practice are determined by receiving organizations and are subject to each country’s specific regulations. Consequently, Paris-U and partners do not make any claims beyond its jurisdiction, including the recognition and acceptance of degrees by receiving organizations, as well as by governments and other relevant parties. Paris-U and its international and local partners do not support this process for any purpose or country.
Content published and Training scope
Paris-U consistently updates our information and lectures to stay responsive and adaptable to changes in the workplace and related regulations.
The content on the website, in publications, emails, and other media is accurate at the time of communication but is subject to change without prior notice.
The training scope and program may change during the process of rolling out the program, but it must still meet the competency framework and the independent accrediting unit’s assessment criteria. If the original agreement is changed, Paris-U will notify the students of any changes, new programs, and alternative learning paths, as applicable.
The training scope and program may change during the program’s implementation, but it must still meet the competency framework and the assessment criteria of the independent accrediting unit. If the original agreement is modified, Paris-U will notify students of any changes, new programs, and alternative learning paths, as applicable.
In cases of changing and severely affected economic and political situations, as well as force majeure events, the training method is subject to adjustments. During such circumstances, the school will inform and consult with the student and revise the student’s initial training plan accordingly.
Third-party learning materials are either purchased, rented, or licensed by Paris-U. Some learning materials are compiled by Paris-U lecturers. While all these materials have been evaluated and approved by the Paris-U Academic Board, they may occasionally contain inappropriate content when applied to certain international students. In such instances, Paris-U will promptly modify the training scope if it deems the impact significant, but it cannot be held responsible, either solely or jointly, for any damages resulting from the training scope.
Students and stakeholders may only use the training content for personal learning and research purposes, and it may not be copied in any form, commercial or non-commercial. Copyright-related content will be stated more clearly in the Copyright Policy section.
Academic Credits
Credit is acknowledging the amount and duration of study required to acquire knowledge.
Paris-U employs the ECTS (European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System) for its credit system. Some Paris-U programs also utilize the UK RQF credit system due to our partnership with the British education system.
The Academic Board at Paris-U is responsible for internal credit recognition. It’s important to note that while Paris-U and our partners perform this recognition, we cannot guarantee that these credits will also be recognized by other universities or entities not affiliated with Paris-U.
If you intend to transfer your Paris-U credits to another educational institution or system, we recommend consulting with the destination university or other entity first. While Paris-U will offer assistance within our capabilities, we do not intervene in the admissions processes of other universities. It’s crucial to understand that Paris-U cannot commit to guaranteed recognition when transferring to another institution.
Recognition of Academic Progress and Qualifications
Students will be recognised for their academic progress and awarded a degree from Paris-U upon completing coursework and compliance with our requirements and obligations, including academic discipline and integrity. In the case of students who pursue dual degrees or programs with our partners, they may also receive additional diplomas or certifications from these institutions.
It’s important to note that every country, institution, and region has specific rules and criteria for recognizing academic progress and qualifications. The recognition and acceptance of degrees are subjective decisions made by the relevant agencies, government authorities, or in accordance with regional policies, as per international norms. While Paris-U’s degrees are accredited by an independence accreditor, align with competency frameworks, and are subject to internal and external assessments, this does not automatically guarantee recognition or acceptance. Paris-U and its partners do not provide a guarantee of recognition in any country for any purpose, including employment, teaching, research supervision, and any other purposes.
Paris-U delivery methods
With the goal of becoming a premier private higher education institute in training through the Hybrid learning model (a blend of Live Class and local tutoring), Paris-U adopts the following training approach:
- For international students in countries without Paris-U partners or campuses: Students will partake in online learning with Live Class sessions directly led by Paris-U instructors.
- For students in countries with partners or campuses recognized by Paris-U, learners will engage in Live Class sessions with Paris-U instructors, concurrently participating in local support activities facilitated by the partner.
Please note that while local partners offer support, they lack the authority to decide alternative study outcomes with Paris-U. The sole discretion to determine academic results lies with Paris-U and partner universities involved in the assessment and diploma awarding process.
Paris-U campus and e-campus
In support of our hybrid training model, Paris-U has invested in various cities and e-campuses, both in France and globally, with the goal of bringing programs and support systems closer to learners.
Throughout program implementation, whether in France or online, Paris-U may collaborate with partner schools for execution, but it’s essential to recognize that these campuses are not owned by Paris-U.
While clarity on this matter might be lacking in many schools in France, Paris-U, guided by its commitment to transparency, avoids making commitments to large campuses. Students are encouraged to engage in discussions with parents and relevant parties before enrollment, and Paris-U does not commit to meeting expectations of studying at a sizable campus.
Visiting the campus in France and other countries
As mindful of the secure office locations of Paris-U, if relatives of full-time students need to meet with Paris-U staff in France or visit our city or e-campus in France or other countries, it’s imperative for students to notify Paris-U in advance.
Paris-U reserves the right to approve or deny the request, considering its work schedule and human resources plan.
When visiting either the city campus or e-campus of Paris-U, please take note of the following:
- Only relatives of full-time students are allowed. We do not accept or arrange visits for online students and their relatives.
- Advance notice is necessary, and tour dates are not bound by Paris-U public holidays and seasonal schedules.
- Students should be aware that the city campus or e-campus is an executive office, constituting a segment of the building’s campus and not a sprawling campus akin to public schools.
- Some training venues, libraries, and facilities catering to Paris-U students operate in collaboration with partner universities in some countries or public schools in their locations. It’s important for students to recognize that these facilities are owned either by the government or a partner university. For security reasons, only parents and relatives of full-time students from any campus are allowed to visit that campus.
- Students are expected to prioritize safety and security and should refrain from disrupting the day-to-day operations of Paris-U. Additionally, students bear the responsibility for compensating any damage incurred to Paris-U facilities, as well as facilities belonging to partners and government entities in case of damage or loss.
Paris-U recognizes the cultural variations in educational practices across countries, and it’s common for international students to envision schools with expansive campuses. However, this perception doesn’t necessarily apply to private schools in France, particularly under Paris-U’s strategic innovation model. Committed to transparent information, Paris-U refrains from making commitments beyond its control or presenting inaccurate or unrealistic content. Paris-U encourages prospective students to engage in proactive learning, understanding, and embracing the journey with the expectation of excellent academic experiences.
Graduation Ceremony
With its hybrid training model, Paris-U attracts students from diverse regions and countries worldwide.
In practice, students often encounter challenges obtaining visas and securing the opportunity to travel to Switzerland for the graduation ceremony, significantly impacting both organizational aspects and the applicants themselves. Despite having the right to attend the ceremony, a considerable number of graduating students were absent.
As a result, Paris-U has decided not to host the graduation ceremony for online students in France from 2024 onward. Instead, the plan is to collaborate with local partners to organize separate graduation ceremonies for each region. In such instances, a designated representative from Paris-U will travel to the respective region to confer the diplomas.
Information Assurance, Security and GDPR
Paris-U strives to protect personal information by strictly adhering to regulations, ensuring information safety and security, and implementing the EU’s GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation).
Apart from collecting information necessary for program implementation, training, and quality improvement purposes, Paris-U does not gather information from students or partners. Any disclosure to third parties, other than for the abovementioned purposes, will only occur in response to orders/requests from competent authorities.
In the event of information security breaches resulting from unauthorized access, Paris-U collaborates with relevant authorities and parties to resolve such issues. Paris-U disclaims liability for intrusions beyond our control.
Copyright Policy
The intellectual property rights of content providers, instructors, students, and other third parties are respected by Paris-U. Respect for intellectual property rights is likewise expected of students and users of our educational system.
When studying or collaborating with Paris-U, students, and other stakeholders must follow signed or unsigned regulations that follow international copyright practices.
All information published by Paris-U and its partners, including learning materials, documents, forms, minutes, and other contents published officially or unofficially, internally or externally, are the property of Paris-U. Students, partners, and other stakeholders must not copy, use, or reuse material for purposes other than learning and personal research. Outside of the above copyright agreement, all reproduction activities for either commercial or non-commercial purposes are copyright infringements against Paris-U.
Copyright infringement is one of the most serious infringements, according to Paris-U. Paris-U has the authority and reserves the right to terminate a student’s status, annul the student’s results, degrees, and online account if it is discovered that the student infringes on intellectual property rights. This policy remains in effect even after the learning process has been completed.
In the event that a student or another party violates the copyright, resulting in damages (including actual and intended or implied damages), Paris-U fully supports the investigation process, but is not responsible for any material, financial, or liability disclaimer if it is determined that the infringement of copyright is beyond Paris-U’s scope of influence.
Faulty Communication and Unfair Competition Prevention
Protecting the reputations of students, partners, and Paris-U is a top priority for a university that accepts students from all over the world. Transparency of information, anti-false communication, and anti-unfair competition policies are all mandatory regulations that must be followed in accordance with EU regulations and conventions as well as international conventions.
Paris-U coordinates with members in other countries, consular offices in Paris-U partner countries, and Paris-U member universities to assist in ensuring the legitimate interests of students, Paris-U legal entities, Paris-U partners, and Paris-U itself.
When there are media-related issues and the information stated in the press release (announcement/article) is false and/or harms the university’s reputation, interests, and related interests, Paris-U, in collaboration with universities and global partners, and the Ministry of Education, Consular Affairs, and the legal department will implement a process to prevent faulty communication, as detailed below. Please remember that the content published here is only a small step of the process and is only available in countries and territories where Paris-U accepts its students.
False communication behaviours include the following:
Promoting and spreading misleading information in any way:
- The university’s legitimacy;
- The university’s international accreditation and recognition;
- Legitimacy and the right to take part in education regardless of one’s age, gender, socioeconomic class, or location;
- Information and photos that are the assets of the university and its partners, as well as other actions that may influence or hurt the institution’s reputation, honour, and interests as well as those of its partners and students worldwide;
- Communication actions that, whether purposefully or accidentally, lead to misunderstandings or are only partially accurate, display unfair competition, are not true to their nature;

False communication management procedures (applicable in several countries):
Creating a bailiff and a disposal squad
The university develops a team (AKA a bailiff and a disposal squad) to handle the incident, gathers all relevant information, collects evidence, and collaborates with interested parties to readily handle it in three steps as follows:
Step 1: Alert the parties involved and related parties.
Inform the involved parties of the violation, as well as the diplomatic mission in the country where the university is registered to operate and the representative of the host country’s diplomatic mission in the country where the university is registered to operate.
Step 2: Request that the responsible party make good the damage
Issue an official notice and request that the involved party make good the damage by providing (1) a description of the violating behaviour; (2) evidence; (3) damage estimates; and (4) the terms have been violated in accordance with the applicable laws, regulations, conventions, and so on to which the university has signed and/or the national government of the country in which the incident occurred.
Step 3: Keep a close eye on the remediation process.
If the faulty communication behaviour is not completely made good, we will monitor the remediation process of the responsible party in concern and take other firm and strict measures.
Amendment Rights for the Terms
Paris-U hereby reserves the unilateral right to amend these terms at any time, with such modifications becoming immediately effective.
Terms agreed to with related parties will remain in effect. If the signed agreements are changed, they will only take effect if deemed more favourable to Paris-U than the existing agreement.
The new terms will take effect immediately for newly formed agreements.
